As a taper, the Live Music Archive is the best thing to me since sliced vinyl. While downloads are a bit anaonymous (as opposed to person-to-person trades), being able to upload shows and have them available to pretty much anybody, anytime, anywhere, with no extra work on my part, gives me a distribution mechanism I simply wouldn't have otherwise. I've also prompted a few bands (some that would be called "jambands", some that wouldn't) to join the LMA, and in at least one case have seen a taping/trading culture grow up around the band. The efforts of the administrators and curators (and the respect they give the artists) is to be lauded, loudly, and often.

Thank you!

Aloha,
BradM

I can't let such a gracious response from a taper pass without adding how we couldn't even have a collection of live shows for many bands without folks like you. Thanks tapers! :)
